Severe Weather Concerns
There is only one major severe weather concern in Reykjavik, Iceland.
The major concern is ice in the winter. And you get alot of it because, well,
it says in your name, you live in Iceland. Iceland has a tendency to be in the
path of winter storms and once the storm passes threw, it leaves black ice
on the road that can cause fatel accidents in your car.

Winter/Summer Conditions
Winters in Reykjavik average around -3°C and aren’t as severe temperature wise as most think. The coldest months are Jan., Feb., and March with rain almost 10 days per month. Rainfall is a big part in Reykjavik’s weather, as well as the amount of precipitation in the air.
When you think summer you think warm right? Well, that’s hardly the case here. Summers in Reykjavik average around 13°C. The warmest days are between June and August when temperatures can reach 20°C. If you wanted to visit this city the best time to go would be somewhere in those months. However, you still would want a jacket with you in the summer and maybe some rain boots!

How is weather in Reykjavik different than KS?
Well for starters, Kansas experiences warm summers and fairly cold winters. Kansas also doesn’t see as much rainfall as Reykjavik They also see the sun for about 20 hours a day during the months of June and July, as in Kansas it’s about the same amount of time each day. Iceland, being on another continent than Kansas is of course going to see a major difference in the weather.
